 Skull Tower: (Serbian: Ћеле Кула, Ćele Kula; TurkishKelle Kulesi) monument was built using the skulls of the Serb rebels killed by order of Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II during the 1809 Battle of Čegar, Niš city, during First Serbian Uprising against Ottoman occupation. Serbian commander Stevan Sindjelic, sacrificially fired at his gunpowder depot in the end in order to avoid surrendering to the Turks, killing himself, the rest of his men, and the advancing Turks. Turkish commander of Niš, Hursid Pasha, ordered that the heads of the killed Serbs were to be mounted on a tower to serve as a warning to whoever opposed the Ottoman Empire. In all, 952 skulls were included, with the skull of Sinđelić placed at the top.

Kragujevac V3 -monument..("Monument to executed pupils") in Šumarice Memorial Park. The Kragujevac massacre was the murder of men and chidren in Kragujevac city, Serbia, by Nazi German soldiers on 20–21 October 1941. All males from the town were assembled by German troops, pupils from the school, and the victims were selected from amongst them. On 29 October 1941, Felix Benzler, the plenipotentiary of the German foreign ministry in Serbia, reported that 2,300 people were executed in one day. Later investigations by the post-war Yugoslavian government said between 5,000 and 7,000 people and children were executed.
